Steve and Maria Frey

It seems in our society, that it’s a goal to gain a title. When you get that job, you want to move up from entry-level employee to supervisor, manager, district manager, CEO… Typically with each new title on up comes more respect, responsibility, and money! Steve was just recently promoted from being Project Coordinator to a Project Manager. Supposedly that makes him fancier. Most of us have to earn our ranks; sacrificing time, increasing knowledge, and proving competence.

We all know (well, at least his mom and dad know) that Jacob is somewhat of a superstar. So it’s only fitting that he should excel at such an early age and attain his very first title: Big Brother

For those that haven’t heard yet, our little small Frey is going to be a big brother sometime this fall. We’ll be going for the first ultrasound and meeting with the doctor on March 9 and will hopefully have more details at that point. We’re very excited that our family is growing and that we have this opportunity to give Jacob his new title.

I was gonna say that this blog has fallen mostly into the “Just Jacob” category lately – especially with the addition of this post – but then I realized something. How much more “Steve and Maria” can you get when you’re talking about a life that came from both of us?!

These are just a couple of pictures from the other day. Nothing special. I was just going to post just one or two, but of course, I couldn’t just choose one. Not sure if the convenience of digital cameras is all so convenient. I really need to take the SLR in to get fixed…this kid needs to be on film! Of course, relying on a single roll of film is going to cause me to have to bump up my photography skills. Do they even develop real film anymore? Maybe that’s a non-Jacob blog post for the future.
